The Staff Management Experience (SMX) is scheduled for enablement in Brink on 8/15/23 at 11 PM PST. As part of this update, we recommend deferral of any Settings Editor based employee changes (Employees, Jobs, Sec Levels, Permissions) on 8/15/23 until after the SMX update is completed. If pending employee Settings Editor changesets are created, you may experience (up to) a 24 hour delay for processing all new changesets due to the timing of your next EOD run.
The Staff Management Experience involves new optimized workflows and Admin Portal pages to manage operational employee activity across Employees, Jobs, Sec Levels & Permissions. We recommend familiarizing your user teams with the documentation and feature highlights in advance of this update. NOTE: During the deployment In-Store Operations will operate in Offline Mode- • Offline mode will continue to be available throughout the deployment period. • The web portal, web API, and Brink POS terminal application will be unavailable for 2 hours. • To avoid interruptions, please do not manually reboot your registers during your deployment. • After your deployment is complete, in-store registers will be unavailable for up to 1-2 minutes while they reconnect to the server.
